Dolores “Dee” Elizabeth Mullaly, 95, of Cypress Palms from Largo, FL, formerly of
Rotonda West, FL, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024.
Born on July 25 1929 in North Braddock, PA, Dolores was the daughter of the late
George and Anna Simcic. She was the devoted wife for 47 years to the late Eugene
Andrew Mullaly and is survived by her sister, Jane DeSimone and her brother,
Richard Simcic. Preceded in death by her late sisters Anna Gregg, Ruthie McNutt,
Wilma Stohlberg, and her late brother, Robert Simcic.
Dolores graduated from Scott High School in 1947. She dedicated 40 years of her
life working at American Airlines as a reservationist before retiring. Dolores and
Eugene were married in New York in 1960, and their 47 years together were filled
with adventure and love. Their travels took them to all over the globe to amazing
destinations such as Paris, Slovenia, Africa, Greece, and Germany, just to name a
few. They called Jackson Heights, NY home but also spent weekends at their
Pocono Mountain cabin. Finally retiring to Rotonda West, FL where their years
were marked with a continued zest for life.
Besides her love for world travel she was an avid collector of many collectables.
She was a creative spirit, loved crafting and was always active. Her faith was her
cornerstone of her life; she was a devout member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic
Church in Grove City, FL, where she generously contributed her time and talent to
their sacristy and choir.
A Catholic funeral mass in her honor will be held on Saturday, September 21,
2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi, 5265 Placida Rd, Grove City, FL
34224. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Cypress
Palms, 400 Lake Ave NE, Largo, FL 33771, or the Suncoast Hospice Foundation,
5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760.
Dolores will be remembered for her warmth, her adventurous spirit, and her
unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that
will continue to inspire those who knew her.
