On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Julius F Wilkos, Jr. (Age 80), passed peacefully at home.  He was born on January 1, 1944 in Hartford, CT to  Julius F Wilkos Sr. and Cora (Green) Wilkos.  After graduating from Hartford High School in 1962 he married Ellen Jane Marcotte in 1965 and they were together for 9 years.  He worked at Bowl-O-Rama in Newington, CT for 25 years before retiring and moving to Largo, FL to enjoy spending time with his grandson.  After moving to Florida he worked part time at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in Seminole, FL as a janitor and following that he worked for the last 9 years as a crossing guard for the city of Largo, FL.

Julius is survived by his only daughter Michelle (Wilkos) Chacanias of Indian Shores, FL and her husband George Chacanias.  He also leaves behind his only grandson, Hunter, age 23.  In addition, he leaves behind his sister, Linda Caruso of Newington, CT and many nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind Michelle (D’Antonio) Shelton, her husband David Shelton and their two sons David, Jr. and Jackson of Cromwell, CT as well as Jason Asci, his wife Emily Asci and their daughter Evan and son William of Austin, TX who all hold a special place in his family.

He was predeceased by the love of his life, Joan D’Antonio, his sister Joyce Carilli-Bellard, and he had recently lost his faithful companion Buster as well.

There will be no services, however a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
